This is a piece I listed on etsy today. I made it a long time ago for a project called Cultural Plunder. My inspiration came from an Inuit seal-gut coat that can be seen in the Royal Albert Memorial Museum in Exeter, Devon.
I’ve been studying the art and craft of textiles for over 10 years. I create one of a kind textiles art pieces, handbags, art quilts, figurines and individual wall hangings. I’m willing to take on commissions.
I’ve lived in the Devonshire countryside (South West England) all of my life and find inspiration from my surroundings for a lot of my art. My passion for nature and the environment drives me to recycle and I often use reclaimed fabrics and found objects in my artwork.
